Recently I sent Rosanne Cash a dorky fan letter (email) telling her how much her album The Wheel -written during and after her long-term marriage broke up - is helping me get through the end of my own 13 year relationship. Wonder of wonders, she actually wrote me back telling me in a brief note to keep the faith and know that someday I won’t feel so sad all the time. I was a huge fan before. Now I’m an uber-fan 
dear roseanne,i have no idea about you and you of me and yet as far as i know we are cousins.to make this short i will tell you all i know .all my life my grand mother eileen sloan [ne de brusey] has said she was johnny cash’s cousin but she would never speak of him as he was an outcast to her and her family anyway if you are intrested i am now trying to find the linkbetween our families.i know that johnny was intrested in his family tree,and traced his roots back to scotland but i know that there are irish roots in there too. my mum has always said of a child born into the family with no parents that emigrated to the states which may well be roseanne hurst whom is referrered to by my gran mother as annie cash.if you are intrestedin getting back to me on this subject thats great and i can introduce you to some french historywhich you are probably a part of too and thephotos i have of my grand mother and johnny are uncanny mum says they are unfortunate tohave the de brusey nose and ears my poor cousin yvonne has both anyway if you are intrested please email me as i am dying to get this family connection sorted out onnce and for all . my email is as above
