Rats
I like them.
Ask me why.
Because they are soft
Because they have a scaley tail
Because they are furry
Because they lick you a lot
Because they are very small
Because they have long little teeth
Because they have tiny feet
Because they have tiny faces
Because

Because
That’s why.
I like rats.

what a great poem! sometimes ‘because’ is the only thing that makes sense…
I have four pet rats (in addition to my cats). They’re pretty much like Elliot says. He’s much wiser about rats than a lot of adults.
