a human evolutionary glitch July 31, 2008
C. is finally getting teeth. Today is her first birthday, and within the past week, several started coming in all at once.
She’s drooling, her nose is running, her eyes are puffy and she is miserable. She wants to nurse all night. Poor little monkey.
This pain that comes with getting teeth seems a bit of an evolutionary glitch. I mean, growing hair and fingernauils doesn’t hurt. It doesn’t hurt to get taller or gain weight. So what’s up with the teething thing, Ms. Mother Nature?
I don’t recall E., J., or H. hurting this much from their teething.

She’s probably getting it worse since so many are coming in at one time. My twins got there first two at 6 months and a month later are working on their next two. You can tell it bothers them, but nothing like what you’re describing for C.
It probably hurts MORE b/c she’s getting them ALL at once! My mom said that I did this and I was miserable for a couple of weeks but then fine! She said she didn’t know what was better…getting them all at once or one at a time!
