I don’t want to sell anything, buy anything, or process anything as a career. I don’t want to sell anything bought or processed, or buy anything sold or processed, or process anything sold, bought, or processed, or repair anything sold, bought, or processed. You know, as a career, I don’t want to do that.

H. did a number of chores for me today, including cleaning his room VERY thoroughly. He was lucky to have with him his best friend M., who seems to be more than willing to clean H’s room any time he’s at our house. Sometimes, when we have several teenage boys sleeping all over the upstairs, I’ll discover M. straightening and organizing in H’s room, waiting for his friends to wake up. He’s been known to vacuum and dust without being asked, and today, he did way more than his share (actually, I guess he had no “share” at all) in cleaning.

I teased H. that he treats poor M. like his personal house elf.

I wonder why some people seem naturally neat and tidy and others (like me) must struggle.

I wish they’d find that it’s a gene. That way I wouldn’t have to feel so lazy. Which is the real truth of the matter, sadly.

Hmmmm. M doesn’t sound like a teenage idiot boy, but I reckon he is, anyway;)
