So what do YOU want for Christmas? November 13, 2008
My wish list:
-Some pieces of the china I just inherited (see below)
-An iPod (I’ve never had one)
-Built-in bookcases in my hall
How about you? Not your children, but YOU?

A clean house. I dream of going to bed Christmas eve with no dog hair on the floors or toothpaste on the walls. I want to begin Christmas morning with a clean house.
New bedding.
Portable DVD player.
New clothes.
Shoes.
Photo Albums! (I am really behind in this area)
This weird mini wall torn down in our house so that we can move the couch over 3 feet closer to the wood stove!

I want the economy back in shape so that so many aren’t hurting financially, so that my husband’s cabinetmaking business can come back from the dead, and so that we can afford to keep our home.
I’m with Katharine. I want my husband, who was downsized, to find a job.
I, too, mostly just want all my friends who have lost jobs to find new employment before Christmas. That would certainly be plenty of gift for me.
Y’all are in my thoughts this season.
Hello . . . Katharine’s cabinetmaker husband needs work, Katie needs cabinets . . . .
As for me, I want a new vacuum cleaner. Anyone have advice on that?
Jenny, you made me smile.
Anyone wanting gorgeous custom cabinetry can see the works of art that my husband produces by checking out the Projects page of his web site, at http://www.master-cabinetworks.com.
For the first time ever, I really can’t think of a thing! Maybe for my daughter to get her college acceptance letter from her #1pick?
I want all children to wake up Christmas morning and find presents under their trees. I hope everyone who can help make that possible this very difficult year will do what they can. It takes a village.
Mama,
What a noble sentiment! I can’t wait to go shopping for my ‘family’ this year. The kids are 5, 7, and 9.
There are lots of ways to do this and agencies who sponsor families.
